About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Assistant Manager to join our team at West Marine. As a key member of our store leadership team, you will play a critical role in ensuring an exceptional customer experience and driving business results.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead by example, demonstrating a passion for customer service and a commitment to excellence in all aspects of store operations.
  • Coach and develop your team to achieve sales goals, provide excellent customer service, and maintain a clean and organized store environment.
  • Collaborate with other store leaders to achieve business objectives and drive sales growth.
  • Stay up-to-date on product knowledge and provide expert advice to customers on boating supplies and accessories.
  • Manage store inventory, including ordering and receiving merchandise, and maintaining accurate inventory records.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures, including safety protocols and customer service standards.

Requirements

  • 2+ years of retail supervisory experience, preferably in a customer-facing role.
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills, with a proven track record of providing exceptional customer experiences.
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
  • Physical ability to lift and move merchandise up to 40 pounds.
  • Passion for boating or life on and around the water.
