Job Overview

At HED, we are seeking an experienced Project Manager to lead our Federal Government and Transportation projects. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in operational management, project financial and risk management, and experience working with Federal Government entities.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead project teams in all aspects of professional services, maintaining liaison between the project team, client, consultants, contractors, and authorities having jurisdiction over the project.
  • Establish project goals, define and execute strategies to achieve these goals, and track and capture results.
  • Manage day-to-day client relations and project activities, including fee and contract negotiations, planning and schedule development, project scope and financial management, and coordination of quality reviews.
  • Work closely with Business Leaders, Operations Leaders, and Market Sector leaders in the development of new and existing clients, and consideration of future work.

Requirements:

  • Minimum twelve years' professional experience in the A/E industry.
  • Highly experienced in operational management.
  • Experience in project financial and risk management.
  • Experience with General Services Administration, Department of Energy, NAVFAC or other Federal Government entities projects preferred.
  • Familiarity with FAR and other overreaching government regulations.
  • Ability to work on US Government projects.
  • Extensive knowledge of all aspects of professional services from business development through project close-out, including design and technical expertise.
  • Excellent writing, communication, and organizational skills.
  • Strong leadership and teamwork skills, including the ability to lead, motivate, and work well with others.
  • Proactive, self-motivated, enthusiastic, and flexible.
  • Strong business acumen.
  • Strategic outlook, with an eye for detail.
  • Bachelor's Degree in Architecture, Engineering or related project management field required. Specific experience in lieu of a degree will be considered.
  • Professional Licensure required.
  • LEED Accreditation preferred.
  • Current or Prior security clearance a plus.
