Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled EHS Explosives Specialist to join our team at Axis Energy Administration. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring compliance with explosives safety regulations and providing expert guidance to our team.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement explosives safety programs to minimize potential hazards and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Provide expert advice and guidance to our team on explosives safety standards, practices, and procedures.
  • Conduct regular audits and inspections to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and identify areas for improvement.
  • Investigate explosive accidents and incidents to assess the potential for recurrence and recommend corrective actions.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with regulatory agencies and provide liaison services as needed.
  • Stay up-to-date with changes in regulatory requirements and provide training to our team on new developments.
Requirements
  • 5-7+ years' experience in explosives compliance and safety.
  • Advanced understanding of explosives handling, storage, transportation, disposal, and treatment.
  • Experience with developing standard operating procedures (SOPs) and conducting audits.
  • Professional integrity, confidentiality, and a sense of responsibility and accountability.
  • Highly organized and efficient worker with strong communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and make timely and sound decisions.
  • Ability to travel up to 25% to various operations locations.
