Job Overview

Responsibilities of the Fire Safety Equipment Specialist include, but are not limited to:

  • Ensuring a secure work environment while providing services to clients
  • Overseeing site safety protocols
  • Setting up and dismantling H2S equipment
  • Maintaining and repairing breathing air systems
  • Inspecting and servicing fire extinguishers
  • Repairing personal and rig monitoring devices
  • Conducting high angle and confined space rescue training

Qualifications for the Fire Safety Equipment Specialist include, but are not limited to:

  • Experience in confined space operations
  • High angle rope rescue certification
  • Knowledge of hot work and permitting processes
  • Familiarity with multi-gas monitoring equipment
  • Understanding of comprehensive job safety practices
  • Valid driving record
  • Possession of a Class B Texas Fire Extinguisher license
  • Completion of a 90-day evaluation period for new hires
  • Physical capability to bend, crouch, and squat as required

Physical Requirements: Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.

Work Environment: Capacity to operate in an industrial setting, with exposure to varying temperatures and humidity levels. Must be able to work in all weather conditions.

Training and Certifications: Knowledge of OSHA regulations and safety standards relevant to the oilfield. A current Texas Class B fire extinguishers license is mandatory.

Shift and Overtime: Must be available for a 24-hour on-call schedule, including weekends and potential overtime.

Travel Requirements: Limited to regional service, primarily within the Permian Basin, with occasional national travel.

Educational Background: High school diploma or GED is required.
