Overview
TÜV SÜD America is seeking a highly skilled Product Safety Engineer to join our team. As a Product Safety Engineer, you will be responsible for ensuring the safety of electrical devices by conducting thorough testing and analysis.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct product safety testing and analysis to ensure compliance with international and national regulations.
- Develop and implement test plans to identify potential safety hazards.
- Communicate with internal and external customers to provide technical feedback and answer questions.
- Set up and operate standard test equipment to conduct safety tests.
- Prepare technical reports and documentation to support test results.
- Stay up-to-date with the latest design theory and product standards.
- Participate in customer meetings and audits to ensure compliance with safety regulations.
- Travel to conduct or witness tests at client sites as needed.
Requirements
- University Degree in Electrical Engineering, Biomedical Engineering, Engineering Technology, or related field.
- Minimum two (2) years of experience in product regulatory affairs.
- Knowledge of IEC and UL standards and international safety schemes.
