Job Summary

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide direct patient care to patients using the nursing process in accordance with applicable scope and standards of practice.
  • Develop and implement individualized care plans for wound care patients, both outpatient and inpatient.
  • Maintain current knowledge and skills in wound care management, including transcutaneous oxygen monitoring and wound debridement.
  • Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive patient care.
  • Document patient care and outcomes in a timely and accurate manner.
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient outcomes and satisfaction.
Requirements
  • Current licensure as a Registered Nurse from the Virginia State Board of Nursing or a Compact State.
  • Previous experience in acute care hospital setting preferred.
  • Critical thinking skills, decisive judgment, and ability to work with minimal supervision.
  • Ability to function in a stressful environment and take appropriate action.
  • AHA Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
