Job Description

Scout Clean Energy is seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented individual to join our construction team as a Construction Intern for the summer of 2025. This is an excellent opportunity to gain hands-on experience in the renewable energy industry and contribute to the development of innovative projects.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support the Project Manager and Construction Project Team in coordinating, documenting, and scheduling construction project activities.
  • Assist with updating construction project reporting, including tracking engineering RFIs and construction non-conformances.
  • Interface with on-site project personnel to obtain information on the status of the project and review receiving and other quality control documentation.
  • Lead note-taking during project coordination calls and distribute meeting minutes and action items.
  • Update the project documentation site and assist the Project Manager in documentation control.

Requirements:

  • Currently enrolled in an accredited college or university with prior coursework in construction management, engineering, and/or business operations.
  • Proficiency in MS Office and MS Project or other scheduling software, with familiarity with Power BI or other analytical software preferred.
  • Strong verbal and written communication, teamwork, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to represent Scout Clean Energy in a professional manner and communicate clearly with stakeholders.

  • Demonstrated ability to work in a flat organization, leveraging the expertise of multiple colleagues in different lines of reporting.
  • Effective proactive communication, project management, and team-building skills, with experience working with cross-functional internal and external technical advisors and stakeholders.
  • Ability to multi-task and arbitrate between conflicting priorities with clear target setting and follow-through capability in a fast-paced work environment.

Benefits:

  • Hourly rate: $25-30/hour, depending on experience and qualifications.

Timeline and Location:

This position will begin in May 2025 and will be a full-time commitment for the duration of the 12-week internship program. The ideal candidate will be able to work out of our Boulder office during the duration of the internship program.
