Position Summary:

The Business Banking Consultant is tasked with delivering comprehensive financial solutions to small enterprises with annual revenues reaching up to $5 million. This role involves nurturing and expanding relationships with high-value clients and identifying new business opportunities through networking and referrals.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee the complete client journey to fulfill their needs and drive sales while managing associated risks.
  • Recognize and direct specialized small business opportunities and solutions to clients, conducting thorough relationship assessments.
  • Provide a premium customer experience by maintaining a field presence for at least 80% of the work time.
  • Build relationships with essential partners, such as Merchant Services and Business Banking, to enhance small business opportunities.
  • Utilize credit knowledge to guide small business owners on solutions and services that align with their financial objectives.
  • Support the execution of sales strategies to achieve performance targets and growth within the Small Business segment.
  • Mentor and develop team members while fostering a client-centric culture.

Required Qualifications:

  • Proven track record in consultative sales within financial services or business-to-business environments.
  • Ability to demonstrate improvements in financial outcomes for businesses through analysis of financial statements.
  • Passion for outside sales and a proactive approach to prospecting.
  • Strong analytical skills to assess client financial conditions and industry trends.
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills.
  • Experience managing a client portfolio with a focus on relationship enhancement.
  • Thorough understanding of small business financial products and services.
