Position Overview

The Customer Relations Specialist I is tasked with fostering relationships with both new and existing clients, focusing on two primary groups: 1) clients identified as "VIP" by RNDC Sales and Operations, and 2) chain clients with regional or national accounts. To provide an exceptional level of service to this customer segment, the individual will actively engage in supporting relevant marketing initiatives, preparing account-related materials, and assisting in identifying and resolving ongoing challenges.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist sales representatives and management in defining, developing, and sustaining relationships with VIP account buyers to anticipate their future requirements.
  • Utilize ongoing communication with VIP clients to support pertinent programs and initiatives from Sales and Marketing, aiding in the generation of additional volume and revenue where feasible.
  • Support sales representatives and chain managers in identifying, preparing, and documenting materials related to VIP accounts (e.g., account status, reporting trends, sales presentations).
  • Identify and prioritize issues and assist in the planning and coordination of timely solutions.
  • Participate in client meetings as necessary to ensure awareness and involvement in operational challenges and potential revenue opportunities.
  • Develop and maintain a comprehensive understanding of all technology and reports required to support customer inquiries.
  • Monitor and address inquiries from both external and internal clients regarding customer account details.
  • Redirect non-applicable incoming inquiries to appropriate departments as necessary, collaborating with internal team members and clients to gather required information and share results with relevant stakeholders.
Qualifications
  • High school diploma or equivalent; one to three years of relevant experience; or a combination of education and experience. An associate degree or higher with three or more years of relevant experience is preferred. Prior experience in major account customer support is strongly preferred.

Preferred Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree
  • Previous experience in the Wine and Spirits industry
  • WSET certifications
