About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Licensed Practical Nurse to join our team as a Medical Care Coordinator. In this role, you will be responsible for assisting Physicians, Nurse Practitioners, and Nurses in the examination and treatment of patients.


Duties and Responsibilities
  1. Patient Care: Actively participates with team members in the delivery of physical and psychosocial dimensions of patient care.
  2. Exam Room Preparation: Prepares exam rooms and equipment to facilitate treatment and examination of patients by setting up instruments/equipment and stocking supplies, per provider protocol.
  3. Preparation for Provider Exam: Prepares patient for provider exam by reviewing medical records, weighing patient, checking vital signs, performing medication reconciliation, and obtaining information relevant to patient care.
  4. Assisting Providers: Assists providers to facilitate patient treatment by retrieving tests and medical records and obtaining lab work as directed.

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A High School Diploma or GED
  • A current certification as a Licensed Practical Nurse
  • Computer proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint programs
  • Competency in phlebotomy procedures
  • Able to obtain First Aid and CPR certification within three months of hire date, if not already certified
