Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Mental Health Nurse Specialist to join our team. As a member of our interdisciplinary team, you will participate in treatment planning and provide assessment and care to patients. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Initiating and documenting special treatment procedures
  • Documenting nursing care, treatment, and patient response to treatment
  • Providing health education to patients
  • Attending mandatory training and in-services
  • Participating in the implementation of Nursing Department policies and procedures
Required Skills and Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you must possess:

  • A current license to practice as a Registered Nurse in Kentucky
  • Nursing experience providing direct patient care and maintaining current CPR certification
  • PREFERRED: BSN degree and one year inpatient behavioral health work experience or one year medical/surgical nursing experience
