We re-imagine substance use disorder treatment by providing individualized care delivered with a peer-centered approach. Our focus is on meeting patients’ basic needs, such as access to care, economic stability, and connections to relationships and community. We then help each person find their way to wellness.



About the Role


The Licensed Therapist’s primary responsibility is to facilitate optimal delivery of mental health care for patients enrolled in our SUD Home program. This role supports members through their wellness journey by providing therapy within our integrated care model, in partnership with internal Primary Care Nurse Practitioners and Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioners.



Key Responsibilities


This position involves:



  • Continuing or conducting initial assessments for new patients
  • Creating individualized treatment plans according to patient needs and circumstances
  • Meeting with patients regularly to discuss treatment plans, track progress, and adjust plans as necessary
  • Conducting ongoing screenings of patient progress
  • Complying with documentation standards within our clinic documentation platform, Athena (EMR), to ensure regulatory compliance
  • Collaborating with other members of the multidisciplinary care team, as well as external providers and facilities when necessary
  • Adhering to Wayspring information security and privacy requirements


Requirements & Qualifications


To be successful in this role, you must have:



  • A Master’s degree in an eligible field (social work, psychology, counseling)
  • Active state licensure
  • Willingness to obtain additional state licensure as requested (we cover the cost associated)
  • Essential skills include empathy, listening, social and communication skills, boundary setting, critical thinking, organizational skills, written documentation skills, and technical/computer skills
  • Experience working with Medicaid populations is highly preferred
  • Experience within the substance use disorder space is highly preferred
  • Ideal experience with trauma-informed care models
  • Experience within American Society of Addiction Medicine levels of care
