Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled General Maintenance Mechanic to join our team at V2X. As a key member of our facilities maintenance team, you will be responsible for completing various general and specialized trade skills, including electrical, carpentry, painting, concrete, plumbing, welding, drywall, door hardware, and ceiling and flooring systems.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform maintenance and repairs on facilities and equipment, including electrical, plumbing, and HVAC systems.
  • Conduct routine inspections and maintenance on structures surrounding the facility, including fencing, gates, area lighting, sidewalks, and pavements.
  • Develop and implement safety procedures and protocols to ensure a safe working environment.
  • Assist project coordinators in planning, cost estimating, designing, developing, and completing local projects.
  • Perform complex lock servicing and repair, and develop supply estimates for various projects.
  • Collaborate with other team members to ensure seamless project execution and high-quality results.
Requirements
  • Vocational or high school diploma or equivalent, and at least seven years of experience as a General Maintenance Mechanic.
  • Experience in troubleshooting techniques to determine exact problems and tackle them accordingly.
  • Excellent ability to communicate system problems to co-workers and management for proper understanding.
  • Good mechanical skills to handle equipment and avoid causing injuries to self and others.
  • Ability to evaluate computer-related work orders in an accurate manner.
  • US citizenship and final Top-Secret Clearance based on a Tier 5 Background Investigation and favorable eligibility determination for access to Sensitive Compartmented Information (SCI) IAW ICD 704.
