Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled General Maintenance Mechanic to join our team at V2X. As a key member of our facilities maintenance team, you will be responsible for performing a variety of tasks to ensure the smooth operation of our facilities.

Key Responsibilities
  • Trade Skills: Perform electrical, carpentry, painting, concrete, plumbing, welding, drywall, door hardware, and ceiling and flooring system tasks.
  • Maintenance of Structures: Maintain structures surrounding the facility, including fencing, gates, area lighting, sidewalks, and pavements.
  • Infrastructure Sustainment: Perform infrastructure sustainment activities to ensure the continued operation of our facilities.
  • Lock Services: Repair and change locks in the building and perform complex lock servicing to ensure maximum safety.
  • Furniture Installation: Disassemble, move, reassemble, and install facility furnishings.
  • Project Support: Assist project coordinators in planning, cost estimating, designing, developing, and completing local projects.
  • Safety and Compliance: Ensure knowledge of current safety policies, procedures, and personal protection equipment (PPE) required for the job, in accordance with OSHA, facility, system equipment security, ECAP, and NEC safety standards.
Requirements
  • Education: Vocational or High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Experience: At least seven (7) years of experience as a General Maintenance Mechanic.
  • Skills: Excellent ability to communicate system problems to co-workers and management, good mechanical skills, and ability to evaluate computer-related work orders accurately.
  • Clearance: US Citizen with Final Top-Secret Clearance based on a TIER 5 Background Investigation and favorable eligibility determination for access to Sensitive Compartmented Information (SCI) IAW ICD 704.
