Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled General Maintenance Mechanic to join our team at V2X. As a key member of our facilities team, you will be responsible for completing various general and specialized trade skills, including electrical, carpentry, painting, concrete, plumbing, welding, drywall, door hardware, and ceiling and flooring systems.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform maintenance and repairs on structures surrounding the facility, including fencing, gates, area lighting, sidewalks, and pavements.
  • Responsible for infrastructure sustainment activities, including developing supply estimates and gathering technical data.
  • Repair and change locks in the building and perform complex lock servicing to ensure maximum safety of all people.
  • Responsible for the disassembly, movement, reassembly, and installation of facility furnishings.
  • Assist project coordinators in planning, cost estimating, designing, developing, and completing local projects.
  • Stay up-to-date with current safety policies, procedures, and personal protection equipment (PPE) required for the job.
  • Attend periodic safety training classes related to the job description.
  • Ability to lift and/or carry objects up to 50 pounds, climb ladders, walk up several flights of stairs, and work in unusual or uncomfortable body positions or environmental conditions.
  • Perform work outdoors during various weather conditions as required.
Requirements
  • Vocational or High School Diploma or equivalent, and at least seven (7) years of experience as a General Maintenance Mechanic.
  • Experience in troubleshooting techniques to determine exact problems and tackle them accordingly.
  • Excellent ability to communicate system problems to co-workers and management for proper understanding.
  • Good mechanical skills to handle equipment to avoid causing injuries to self and others.
  • Ability to evaluate computer-related work orders in an accurate manner.
  • US Citizen with a Final Top-Secret Clearance based on a TIER 5 Background Investigation and favorable eligibility determination for access to Sensitive Compartmented Information (SCI) IAW ICD 704.
