About the Role

Hannaford Supermarkets is seeking a highly skilled Associate Relations Manager to promote positive associate relations and business partnerships with store management. This role is responsible for ensuring store compliance with company policies, practices, legal requirements, and ethical procedures.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and maintain a solid business partnership with Store and Department Managers to ensure consistent communication between Store Management and associates.
  • Support Hannaford's culture through role modeling and coaching key management on effective performance management, change management, and associate engagement.
  • Facilitate conflict resolution and provide feedback at all levels.
  • Lead and develop associates, and oversee the 1st 100-day process.
  • Partner with Store Manager to manage the Talent Growth Management Process for key leadership development within the store.
  • Ensure timely and accurate payroll functions, and assist in the selection and training of Payroll Clerks/Assistant ARMs.
  • Support disability and workers' compensation open cases, and facilitate transitional work plans.
  • Project work as needed, and demonstrate schedule flexibility to meet business needs.
Requirements
  • Demonstrated good judgment and ability to achieve results through influence versus authority.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to 'read' people.
  • Ability to handle sensitive information with extreme confidentiality.
  • Facilitation and conflict-resolution skills.
  • College degree or equivalent, and retail management experience preferred.
