We are seeking a highly skilled Safety Engineer to join our team at General Atomics. As a key member of our engineering staff, you will be responsible for conducting safety analyses and developing solutions to satisfy safety requirements.

Key Responsibilities
  • Safety Analysis and Development: Conduct safety analyses for systems and components, and develop safety program plans based on knowledge of MIL-STD-882E.
  • Collaboration and Teamwork: Collaborate with all levels of program and engineering staff on design, integration, and test matters, and support other teams and disciplines as necessary.
  • Program Support: Support program design and readiness reviews, and operate engineering systems.
  • Documentation and Communication: Provide documentation and make technical presentations as required, and may represent the organization as the prime technical contact on small contracts or single component projects.
  • Leadership and Direction: Provide direction to design or technical staff, and may lead a team of moderately experienced professional staff.
