Job Summary

As a Radiology Technologist in our Orthopedic Imaging department, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality diagnostic imaging services to patients. Under the direction of a radiologist or physician, you will perform radiographic procedures, operate radiologic equipment, and maintain a safe and efficient work environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Position patients and adjust equipment for taking x-rays, following established procedures.
  • Follow prescribed safety standards in operating radiologic equipment.
  • Instruct patients regarding procedures.
  • Examine radiologic film for properties such as density and contrast, definition, magnification and distortion.
  • Develop and process radiologic film. Deliver film to requester for reading/interpretation.
  • Maintain x-ray exam room. Stock necessary medical and radiological supplies.
  • Clean and make minor adjustments to radiologic equipment. Responsible for routine maintenance and vendor notification of failures.
  • Responsible for dissemination of x-ray reports and x-rays, maintaining a location log.
  • Schedules radiologic exams to be performed at outside labs, as necessary.
  • Gathers and prepares x-rays with physician interpretation for radiologist over read.
Requirements
  • Associate's Degree: Completion of accredited radiology program.
  • Required Certifications/Registrations/Licenses: SCRQSA license, RSQA - RAD QUALITY STANDARD, American Registry for Radiology Technologists (ARRT) certification for Radiology.
Preferred Qualifications
  • One year physician practice experience.
Work Environment

This is a non-management job that will report to a supervisor, manager, director, or executive. The work environment is fast-paced and requires strong communication and teamwork skills.
