Role Summary
We are in search of a dedicated social media strategist to spearhead our Instagram initiatives for Abercrombie and Abercrombie Kids. This role entails managing the planning, execution, and evaluation of weekly campaign strategies, alongside fostering innovation and creative ideas on both a seasonal and weekly basis. The ideal candidate will collaborate closely with the creative team to ensure that our content resonates on Instagram while maintaining our brand's voice across all communications.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement Instagram content strategies on a seasonal, monthly, and weekly basis.
  • Coordinate and manage Instagram content flow through a structured weekly process with creative and merchandising teams.
  • Engage actively with our audience on Instagram through effective community management practices.
  • Analyze platform metrics weekly to provide actionable insights that enhance performance.
  • Measure, evaluate, and report on monthly campaign metrics, identifying areas for improvement and making strategic recommendations.
  • Maintain relationships with platform partners to stay informed about the latest updates and innovative opportunities.
  • Lead strategy discussions within the social media team to ensure cohesive brand messaging across all channels.
  • Foster a strong working relationship with the creative team, providing clear and strategic feedback on content assets.
  • Collaborate with the Customer Service team on escalated inquiries and responses.
  • Work with the paid media team to identify opportunities for content sharing.
  • Stay updated on industry trends and best practices, maintaining a competitive library of content opportunities.
  • Create timely, reactive content for Instagram during brand events and activations, with potential travel involved.
  • Assist the creative team during on-site shoots and other creative endeavors as needed.
  • Support the execution of Instagram contests and sweepstakes.
  • Ensure the social operations team has the necessary assets and copy for posting.
  • Understand our target audience, including their cultural references and social influences.
  • Encourage a test-and-learn mindset, inspiring the team to embrace creative risks and explore new ideas.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
  • Minimum of 4 years in social media management.
  • A genuine curiosity and enthusiasm for social marketing.
  • Proficiency with current and emerging social media platforms and tools (e.g., TikTok, Instagram, Facebook, Pinterest).
  • Experience with project management and social sharing tools.
  • Exceptional communication and relationship-building skills.
