Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Deficit Prevention Officer to join our team at JW Marriott Clearwater Beach Resort & Spa. As a key member of our Loss Prevention and Security team, you will be responsible for ensuring the safety and security of our guests and employees.

Key Responsibilities
  • Patrol all areas of the property to prevent and detect potential security threats.
  • Monitor CCTV cameras, alarm systems, and fire life safety systems to ensure prompt response to emergencies.
  • Assist guests with room access and provide exceptional customer service.
  • Conduct daily physical hazard inspections to identify and mitigate potential risks.
  • Respond to accidents, injuries, and incidents, and provide first aid and CPR as needed.
  • Collaborate with local law enforcement and emergency services to ensure a safe and secure environment.
  • Complete incident reports and maintain accurate records of all security-related incidents.
  • Develop and maintain positive working relationships with colleagues and guests.
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • No prior work experience in loss prevention or security required, but a strong desire to learn and grow in this field is essential.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and respond to emergencies quickly and effectively.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work with diverse groups of people.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and stand for long periods of time.
