Job Title: Manufacturing Design Engineer

This role involves creating detailed designs for manufacturing products, including storage containers, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure designs meet customer and product requirements.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Design and develop manufacturing products, including storage containers, to meet customer and product requirements.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including business development, manufacturing, and quality assurance, to ensure designs meet all customer and product requirements and standards.
  • Apply knowledge of manufacturing product materials and engineering theory, methods, and technologies to the design, development, and production of Company products from concept to prototype, maximizing production and ensuring high levels of reliability, quality, safety, and customer satisfaction.
  • Identify opportunities and implement changes to improve products or reduce costs using knowledge of fabrication processes, tooling and production equipment, assembly methods, quality control standards, or product design, materials, and parts.
  • Interface with supply chain management to source products that meet technical standards and design criteria.
  • Apply continuous improvement methods such as lean manufacturing to enhance manufacturing quality, reliability, or cost-effectiveness.
  • Determine root causes of failures and recommend changes in designs, tolerances, or processing methods.
  • Assure current design practices interface with production standards and practices.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in engineering required, Mechanical Engineering preferred.
  • Proven work experience as a Design Engineer or similar role in an industrial setting.
  • Experience in 3D CAD software and MS Office preferred.
  • Experience with Finite Element Analysis, in particular Ansys Mechanical, is a plus.
Work Environment:

The position involves occasional exposure to wet or humid conditions, toxic or caustic chemicals, fumes or airborne particles, and loud noise levels.
