Role Overview

The Inventory Control Auditor plays a crucial role within the Analytics Team, tasked with ensuring the precision of data sourced from the Cultivation, Processing, and Supply Chain sectors. This position emphasizes maintaining inventory accuracy across various systems including METRC, Dynamics NAV, and Leaf Trade, alongside our internal documentation via Google Sheets through both physical and digital audits. The Auditor will also assist in upholding precise digital records in various state systems as required. Furthermore, this role involves validating data entered by other teams and supporting reporting responsibilities as necessary. A keen eye for detail and a solid understanding of Dynamics NAV, state seed-to-sale systems, Google Sheets, and Excel are essential for success in this position. Regular communication with Analytics, Cultivation, Supply Chain, Quality Assurance, and Processing management is expected, ensuring adherence to the highest standards of compliance and professionalism.

Key Responsibilities

Auditing Duties

  • Perform cycle counts of finished goods in NAV to reconcile with physical inventory and METRC data.
  • Conduct cycle counts of raw materials in NAV and Google Sheets to confirm on-hand quantities.
  • Execute physical audits of work-in-progress materials to validate data in internal tracking systems.
  • Carry out digital audits of products to align internal inventory data with state tracking systems.
  • Assist in verifying plant counts.
  • Ensure accuracy of data uploads to Leaf Trade for online menu integrity.
  • Document and track cycle count results to maintain a comprehensive record of inventory audits.
  • Investigate and resolve inventory discrepancies to identify underlying issues.
  • Prepare for and assist with year-end third-party inventory audits.
  • Support resolution of Analytics-related support tickets.
  • Contribute to digital inventory reconciliations in other operational states.
Reporting Responsibilities
  • Generate reports in METRC, Biotrack, MJ Freeway, CounterPoint, and NAV regarding plant counts and inventory levels.
  • Compile and cleanse data to provide insights across various departmental activities as assigned.
Compliance Oversight
  • Ensure adherence to all applicable state and federal regulations.
  • Document workflows and procedures to maintain data integrity and compliance controls.
Additional Duties
  • Provide coverage in different regions and departments within Analytics.
  • Occasionally assist with data entry tasks.
  • Create manifests and transfers in METRC, Biotrack, MJ Freeway, and Dynamics NAV as required.
  • Utilize data to identify growth opportunities.
  • Assist the Audit Manager in training team members on common processes.
Supervision Structure
  • Reports directly to the Audit Manager and receives guidance from Analytics Managers.
  • This position does not include supervisory responsibilities.
Qualifications

Experience
  • 1-3 years of data entry experience is essential.
  • Intermediate proficiency in Google Sheets and/or Excel is required.
  • Experience with METRC, Biotrack, or MJ Freeway is preferred.
  • Familiarity with Dynamics NAV, CounterPoint, or similar inventory systems is advantageous.
  • Data analysis experience is preferred.
  • Strong oral and written communication skills are necessary.
  • Understanding of inventory management principles and FIFO adherence is important.
  • Knowledge of relevant state and federal employment laws is beneficial.
  • Must obtain appropriate work credentials from the relevant State Licensing Authority in all operational states.
Education
  • A high school diploma or equivalent is required.
  • A bachelor’s degree is preferred.
