We are seeking an experienced Oncology Advanced Practice Provider to join our team at Columbus Oncology and Hematology Associates. As a private MD Anderson Certified practice, we are committed to delivering high-quality patient-centered care.
Key Responsibilities:- Provide direct primary and acute care services to adult oncology/hematology patients
- Perform initial and ongoing assessment of patient's medical, physical and psychosocial status
- Obtain comprehensive medical history and perform comprehensive physical exam
- Complete accurate and timely documentation of observations, interventions, plan of care, referrals and follow-up
- Formulate appropriate differential diagnoses based on history, physical exam and diagnostic testing
- Identify needs of the individual, family and develop a plan of care and/or education plan
- Order and interpret diagnostic tests
- Make appropriate referrals to other health professionals and community agencies
- Adhere to productivity standards established by the department
- Assess need for personal growth and development and take initiative in seeking opportunities
- Master's degree in Nursing or Physician's Assistant Degree
- Advanced Oncology Certification OR with plans for certification
- At least 1 year in a Provider Role
- At least 2 years' experience as an RN or NP in oncology
- Positive attitude and a passion for oncology patients
- Clear verbal and written communication skills
- Strong attention to detail
- Ability to function as part of a team
- Sensitivity to patients' physical and psychological needs
