Residential Program Leader

Position Summary:

The Residential Program Leader is responsible for providing leadership, supervision, and training to Residential Support Staff within our Residential Program. This role ensures a safe and healthy environment for all individuals residing in the program.

Responsibilities:
  • Home Operations & Staff Supervision: Oversee the daily operations of the assigned home and provide direct supervision and mentorship to the residential support staff.
  • Direct Care Coverage: Dedicate an average of 32-40 hours per week to on-site supervision, mentoring, and direct care responsibilities within the home.
  • Schedule Management & Administrative Tasks: Manage the home schedules effectively and ensure that the Residential Program Leader allocates time for administrative tasks each week.
  • Client Care Coordination: Maintain accurate records of clients' activities of daily living, appointments, and community integration plans.
  • On-Call Responsibilities: Serve as the primary point of contact for the home by answering calls five days a week to address questions and staff call-offs.
  • Service Plan Implementation: Coordinate and ensure adherence to all resident services outlined in each individual's service plan.
  • Medical Appointment Support: Schedule and attend clients' medical appointments as required. If unavailable, make necessary arrangements for assistance.
  • Team Collaboration: Actively participate as a member of the client's Individual Service Plan (ISP) team, working collaboratively with all team members to foster a positive work environment and meet the needs of the client.
Qualifications:
  • Demonstrated ability to lead, mentor, and effectively guide direct support professionals within a residential setting.
  • Minimum two years of experience providing services in a residential care environment.
  • Prior supervisory experience is preferred.
  • Possess a valid driver's license with fewer than six points.
  • High School Diploma or equivalent (GED).
  • Exceptional flexibility and willingness to work evenings and weekends.
  • Proficiency in behavioral systems, including data recording, analysis, and evaluation.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to effectively negotiate and constructively resolve personnel conflicts.
  • Proven leadership skills with the ability to delegate tasks and empower home staff to fulfill their roles successfully.
