Job Title: Center Director

Lutheran Services Florida (LSF) is seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Center Director to lead our Head Start/Early Head Start program. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for the overall management and operation of our center, ensuring that we provide high-quality education and care to our young children and their families.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Supervise and monitor education staff to ensure compliance with federal performance standards and local licensing requirements.
  • Develop and implement educational activities that promote child development and learning.
  • Coordinate and oversee daily center activities, including meal and snack periods, restroom activities, and playground activities.
  • Ensure accurate documentation of children's progress and completion of required screening and assessment forms.
  • Participate in Quality Assurance efforts and maintain compliance with regulatory bodies.
Requirements:
  • Baccalaureate or advanced degree in Early Childhood Education or a related field.
  • Three years of experience in teaching preschool or kindergarten age children, with two years of supervisory experience.
  • Considerable knowledge of developmentally appropriate practices, behavior modification theories, and current educational techniques.
  • Ability to plan, organize, and conduct early childhood education programs, as well as oversee the work of subordinate staff.
