About the Role

The Director of Strategic Planning will lead UCSF-wide initiatives and serve as a senior advisor to the AVC. This role requires overseeing large-scale projects, partnering with the Academic Senate, and presenting to high-level audiences.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement strategic plans for UCSF-wide initiatives
  • Collaborate with the Academic Senate on initiatives such as new transit pass programs and governance models
  • Present to high-level audiences and engage the UCSF community in major programs
  • Evaluate the effectiveness of new programs and adjust strategies as needed
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in a related field and/or equivalent experience/training
  • 10-15 years of relevant progressive experience
  • 10 years of experience supporting high-level executives
  • Strategic project development, planning, implementation, governance, and evaluation
  • Financial analysis and reporting techniques
  • Advanced knowledge of organization processes, protocols, and procedures
Preferred Qualifications
  • Advanced degree
  • Knowledge of common organization-specific and other computer application programs
  • UCSF experience, especially in implementing new programs and services
