Leidos is seeking a Senior Windows Systems Architect to join our team on a Department of Defense program aimed at integrating multiple large-scale enterprise resource planning systems into a unified, modern platform.

This initiative is currently in the prototype stage, where our focus is on delivering a robust prototype environment while collaborating closely with cybersecurity teams to secure an Authority to Operate (ATO) for future production.

This role presents an exceptional opportunity to engage with a distinguished group of server and systems experts dedicated to maintaining a secure infrastructure for critical operations.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Design, implement, and manage Windows Server environments (2012, 2016, 2019), MS-Azure, Microsoft Exchange, M365, and Active Directory.
  • Recommend and install technologies related to database management, systems administration, server virtualization, network storage, and security.
  • Maintain a comprehensive understanding of Client/Server Architecture and secure deployment strategies.
  • Evaluate and architect network, server, and storage solutions.
  • Produce technical documentation for system integration and operational transition.
  • Participate in a hybrid multi-location operations team managing the existing production environment.
  • Oversee configuration, troubleshooting, and management of Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, and file/print services.
  • Develop and deploy Group Policy Objects to enforce desired enterprise behaviors.
  • Conduct patch management and security configuration activities to ensure servers and databases are secure and current.
  • Monitor system health, performance, and operational trends to proactively identify potential issues.
  • Communicate effectively with executives, managers, peers, and clients.
  • Manage incidents, service requests, and problems throughout their lifecycle.
  • Perform incident analysis to determine root causes and potential solutions.
  • Document status updates and communicate with relevant stakeholders.
  • Create troubleshooting documentation and knowledge articles for support teams.

Basic Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree with 8+ years of relevant experience; equivalent experience may substitute for degree.
  • Proficient in design, implementation, and administration of Active Directory, Azure AD, Microsoft Exchange, and M365.
  • Experience with ticketing systems such as ServiceNow.
  • Strong understanding of Active Directory, Group Policy, and Windows Server (2012, 2016, 2019).
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Exchange, SharePoint, or M365.
  • Extensive knowledge of PowerShell scripting.
  • Ability to independently manage tasks with minimal supervision.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
  • Must possess an Interim DoD Secret Clearance or higher.
  • Meet baseline 8570 certification (IAT Level II) such as CCNA-Security, CySA+, GICSP, GSEC, Security+ CE, CND, SSCP.

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Certification in Microsoft technologies.
  • Azure and/or AWS certifications.

Compensation:

The pay range for this position is $87,000 to $157,450. This range serves as a general guideline and is not a guarantee of compensation.

Factors considered in extending an offer include job responsibilities, education, experience, skills, and internal equity.
