Atrium Health Charlotte is seeking a highly skilled Radiology Specialist to join their team in Shelby, North Carolina.

About the Job

The Radiology Specialist will be responsible for performing procedures in accordance with departmental protocols and standards. This includes operating CT scanners and associated equipment with a high level of proficiency.

Essential Functions:

  • Verify orders on each assigned patient and refer any discrepancies to the Radiologist.
  • Properly identify patients and assist them while offering a brief explanation of the procedures.
  • Interview patients for a complete medical history and review EMR's to obtain pertinent clinical information.
  • Prepare and administer IV contrast according to departmental protocols.
  • Evaluate technical quality of images and consult with a Radiologist if needed.

**Work Environment**

The Radiology Specialist will work in a fast-paced environment with occasional exposure to ionizing radiation. They will be required to use radiation safety guidelines to prevent exposure.

**Requirements**

  • Graduate of an accredited two-year AMA program in Radiologic or Nuclear Medicine Technology.
  • ARRT certification in Radiology or NMTCB for Nuclear Medicine and advanced registry from the ARRT in CT scanning within one year of hire.
  • CPR certification.

Salary Information

The estimated annual salary for this position is around $65,000 - $85,000, depending on experience.
