Diagnostic Medical Imaging Specialist

Atrium Health Charlotte is seeking a skilled Diagnostic Medical Imaging Specialist for a full-time position in Shelby, North Carolina. This opportunity offers an estimated salary of $85,000 to $110,000 per year, depending on experience and qualifications.
About the JobThis role involves prioritizing and coordinating ultrasound exams with nursing units, radiologists, and referring physicians. The ideal candidate will perform ultrasound exams in accordance with departmental protocols and standards, providing excellent patient care as it relates to the exam requested.
- Examines requests and verifies orders on each assigned patient
- Assists Radiologist in performance of invasive procedures
- Evaluates technical quality of exam and develops a superior varied technique for elevated efficiency in the department
- Supports and contributes to the Patient-Centered Care Philosophy by understanding that every staff member is a Caregiver, whose role is to meet the needs of each patient.
The successful candidate will have a strong background in medical diagnostic imaging, certification from the American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonographers or American Registry of Radiologic Technologist (S), and experience working in a fast-paced healthcare environment.
