MRI Technologist Specialist

We are seeking an experienced MRI Technologist to join our team at RAYUS Radiology. As a key member of our radiology department, you will be responsible for performing MRI procedures and providing exceptional patient care.
Job DescriptionThis is a PRN position that requires coverage for 12-hour shifts. The primary location will be in Charlotte, NC, with occasional coverage needs in Asheville, NC.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:- (90%) Patient MRI Imaging:
- Screens patients before exams for any precautions or contradictions pertaining to the examination.
- Explains and prepares patients for MRI procedures.
- Performs routine and advanced MRI procedures on designated portions of the body.
- Adjusts MRI scan parameters correctly and as needed.
- Maintains positive working relationships with radiologists, referring customers, and other associates and peers.
- Follows physicians' orders precisely and conforms to safety regulations to protect yourself, patients, and coworkers.
- Accurately maintains patient records within the Radiology Information System (RIS).
- Maintains an orderly and clean work area promoting good safety habits for patients and co-workers.
- (5%) MRI Department Support:
- Assists with maintaining an updated imaging protocol manual and software upgrades.
- Monitors medical supply inventory and requests supplies as necessary.
- Assists with training of new associates, providing resource and technical expertise, as applicable.
- Ensures compliance with all HIPAA guidelines.
