MRI Technologist Specialist

Atrium Health Charlotte is seeking a highly skilled MRI Technologist to join our team in Charlotte, North Carolina. As an MRI Technologist at Atrium Health Charlotte, you will play a vital role in delivering exceptional patient care and contributing to the success of our healthcare organization.
Job SummaryThe successful candidate will perform procedures in accordance with departmental protocols and standards, operating MRI scanners and associated equipment with a high level of proficiency. This includes scanner, post-processing stations/programs, IV contrast injectors, O2 and suction equipment, patient transport, and patient monitoring equipment.
Responsibilities- Exam Preparation: Examine requests and verify orders on each assigned patient, referring and questioning orders to the Radiologist before performing the exam.
- Patient Care: Properly identify patients using two patient identifiers and assist them while offering a brief explanation of the procedures, preparing patients for the procedure with a full explanation and documenting on appropriate worksheets.
- Medical History: Interview patients for a complete medical history, reviewing in-patients, ER, and outpatients EMR's to obtain pertinent clinical history, recording medical history on requisitions, and correlating other test results and laboratory data with the exam being performed.
- Scan Operations: Assume responsibility for the exam from beginning to completion of dictated results, preparing and administering IV contrast according to departmental protocols, recognizing abnormal anatomy, and processing any additional, reconstructed images, and/or measurements as instructed.
- Certifications: ARRT certification in Radiologic Technology, ARRT or NMTCB for Nuclear Medicine with advanced registry from the ARMRIT or ARRT in MRI required within one year of hire.
- Education: Graduate of an accredited two-year AMA-approved program in Radiologic or Nuclear Medicine Technology or active enrollment in a ARMRIT or ARRT registry-eligible program required.
As an MRI Technologist at Atrium Health Charlotte, you can expect a competitive salary range of $ $70,000 - $90,000 per year, depending on experience and qualifications. In addition to your salary, you will be eligible for benefits, including medical, vision, dental, life insurance, 401(k) retirement plan, and health savings account.
