Join Our Team as a Licensed Practical Nurse

We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Licensed Practical Nurse to join our team at the University of Iowa Community Clinics. As a key member of our primary care team, you will provide high-quality patient-centered care to individuals and families in our West Branch location.

About the Role

This is a full-time position working 40 hours per week, with variable hours and occasional Saturday shifts. You will work closely with our family medicine providers, pediatricians, and other healthcare professionals to deliver comprehensive care to our patients.

Responsibilities
  • Provide nursing care under the supervision of a registered professional nurse
  • Develop and implement nursing care plans in collaboration with the healthcare team
  • Facilitate the smooth flow of patients through the clinic
  • Participate in phone triage, prior authorization, and nurse visits
  • Support other clinics as needed, based on clinical hours and needs
Requirements
  • Licensed as a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) with the Iowa Board of Nursing, or eligible for temporary work permit
  • Basic Cardiac Life Support provider
  • Driver's License and ability to meet UI Fleet Safety Standards
Preferred Qualifications
  • Previous EPIC experience
  • Demonstrated experience fostering a welcoming and respectful work environment
  • Minimum 6 months ambulatory experience
