Job Title: Licensed Practical Nurse - Veterans Home

Job Summary: We are seeking a compassionate and skilled Licensed Practical Nurse to join our team at the West Virginia Veterans Home.

Responsibilities:

* Provide patient care, including taking and giving reports, counting narcotics, and assisting with self-medication programs.

* Accurately document changes in residents' status or behavior, vital signs, and FBS (fingerstick blood sugars).

* Assist in evacuations during fire alarms.

* Collaborate effectively with VAMC physicians, nurses, and pharmacy regarding residents' wellbeing and medications.

* Maintain an assigned wellness list and contribute to program evaluation and updates.

Requirements:

* Current West Virginia License or temporary permit to practice as a Licensed Practical Nurse.

* Successful completion of a course in intravenous therapy and training in venipuncture permits the LPN to start intravenous fluids.
