Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Data Analytics Director to join our team at GeorgiaGov. As a key member of our organization, you will be responsible for leading the development and coordination of data systems for all components of the Georgia Access – State Based Exchange.

Key Responsibilities
  • Analyze business needs and participate in the planning, design, and implementation of new or enhanced systems.
  • Oversee the evaluation of internal processes, procedures, and technologies to improve efficiency and ensure quality.
  • Provide expert assistance to customers in planning their IT needs.
  • Schedule downtime and preventive maintenance activities to ensure all equipment is in good operating condition.
  • Develop and implement quality controls and departmental standards to ensure quality standards, organizational expectations, and regulatory requirements.
  • Build, develop, and maintain data models, reporting systems, data automation systems, dashboards, and performance metrics to support key business decisions.
  • Assist the Executive Director in developing and organizing solutions for operational data reporting responsive to all Georgia Access functional areas.
  • Establish and maintain partnerships with technology staff and the department Project Manager to develop and prepare data dashboards.
  • Develop data critical to support the Engagement Team's efforts to certify individuals assisting qualified individuals enrolling in coverage.
  • Create a community of practice related to data management and reporting.
  • Provide tools to allow subordinate staff to work directly with the data in the system to create custom reports, dashboards, and analytics.
  • Interview, hire, direct, train, evaluate, and when necessary, subordinate staff.
  • Serve as an advanced-level subject matter expert, providing authoritative guidance for professional staff.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in information technology or a related discipline from an accredited college or university.
  • Eight years of job-specific experience that includes extensive experience in the area of information and data management, logistics, and business/process improvement.
  • OR One year of experience at the lower level Mgr 3, Information Technology (ITM022) or position equivalent.
