Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Psychiatric Medical Assistant to join our team. The ideal candidate will have strong skills in data management, multitasking, and compassion for clients. They will work well as part of a multidisciplinary team and have experience working with adults in the mental health realm.

Responsibilities
  • Conduct medical interviews with clients, obtain medical information, and measure vital signs, weight, and height.
  • Prepare clients for physicians and ensure they are shown to examination rooms.
  • Complete brief medical and health assessments with clients.
  • Reconcile medications and vaccines with other medical personnel.
  • Develop and implement systems to schedule appointments for clients.
  • Provide education and wellness activities to clients individually and in groups.
  • Work with client registries via Electronic Health Record, Microsoft Access, Excel, or other databases.
  • Monitor the database to identify and reach out to clients needing services.
  • Automate and perform processes by phone or send letters to clients overdue for medical care or out of compliance with care goals.
  • Act as a liaison to medical providers for health issues, documentation, and related information.
  • Triage prescriber messages.
  • Provide education about medications to clients.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary team members to meet client needs.
  • Schedule, review, and enter lab results.
Requirements
  • Experience working with adults in the mental health realm.
  • Compassionate approach towards clients.
  • Ability to work well as part of a multidisciplinary team.
  • Capability to automate and perform processes by phone or send letters to clients overdue for medical care or out of compliance with care goals.
  • Acting as a liaison to medical providers for health issues, documentation, and related information.
  • Proficient in triaging prescriber messages.
  • Experience collaborating with multidisciplinary team members to meet client needs.
  • Competence in scheduling, reviewing, and entering lab results.
Work Schedule

Monday to Friday, 9am-5pm.

Compensation

$28.69/hour.
