Job Summary

Sutter Health is seeking a skilled Diagnostic Medical Sonographer to join our team. As a Diagnostic Medical Sonographer, you will be responsible for performing diagnostic sonography procedures to deliver high-quality images to physicians and other healthcare providers.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform routine and limited sonographic examinations using established procedures, policies, and practices.
  • Operate complex stationary and mobile diagnostic equipment.
  • Ensure that routine and priority tasks are completed within established departmental time frames.
  • Prepare for and assist physicians in diagnostic sonography and/or guidance imaging during invasive procedures.
  • Provide interpreting physicians with an oral or written summary of technical findings.
Requirements
  • Graduation from an accredited formal Diagnostic Medical Sonography Program.
  • ARDMS-American Registered Diagnostic Medical Sonographer eligible.
  • BLS-Basic Life Support Healthcare Provider Upon Hire.
Preferred Qualifications
  • General knowledge of diagnostic sonography principles, procedures, and views.
  • Capable of performing routine sonographic examinations.
  • Solid written and verbal communications skills.
  • Good time management and organizational skills.
