Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled Nurse Practitioner to join our team of healthcare professionals. As a Nurse Practitioner, you will be responsible for providing expert clinical care in general or specialty areas. You will assess, plan, and provide patient care in collaboration with the attending physician, providing comprehensive health assessments, performing medical diagnoses of acute and chronic illnesses, writing prescriptions, and formulating treatment plans.
Responsibilities:
- Interview patients, employees, and/or family members, constructing comprehensive medical histories, and performing initial and periodic physical examinations.
- Provide appropriate patient education, explaining diagnoses, treatments, and prognoses, securing informed consent for procedures, and instructing patients about health maintenance and preventive care.
- Directly perform or order diagnostic studies, interpreting finished results, and providing continuity of care, including discussing treatment plans and administering medications and injections.
- Oversee the maintenance of adequate, concise, legible, and up-to-date documentation of patient care, making note of problem medical, medication, and discharge records, drug allergies, lab orders, subjective and objective data, diagnostic procedures, patient education, and treatment.
- Use cost-containment measures, prescribing only clinically necessary medications, prescribing generic medications when appropriate, making only clinically necessary referrals, and ordering only clinically necessary diagnostic procedures.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's Degree in Nursing (BSN): Preferred
- Two years' relevant clinical experience: Preferred
- Registered Nurse (RN) licensure in the state of practice: Required
- Nurse Practitioner (NP) licensure in state of practice: Required
- Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) or Basic Life Support (BLS OR HS-BLS OR RQIBLS) certification: Required
Additional Information:
The estimated base pay for this position is $132,384 to $198,577. Additional individual compensation may be available for this role through years of experience, differentials, extra shift incentives, bonuses, etc. A comprehensive benefits program is available for qualifying positions.
