The CART People Team is a remote team distributed across the US, Mexico, and Poland.

The Role:
CART, a rapidly growing Series C fulfillment company powered by proprietary OMS software, is seeking an experienced

Head of People Acquisition, Fulfillment

to join our dynamic team.

Reporting to the Chief People Officer, this leader will be responsible for overseeing the full-cycle recruitment process and leading a team of recruiters.

The role focuses on recruiting both management and hourly roles within CART's fulfillment network of 12 site locations across 6 US States.

This leader will have influential leadership qualities balancing time to serve as a mentor and coach plus manage a req load for key leadership positions across the network.

Partner with management to develop and oversee recruitment strategies, including building pipelines for current and future needs
Partner with and manage CART's third-party temporary firms for peak and seasonal hiring with on-time delivery of quality talent
Standardize recruitment processes across sites while incorporating site-specific needs as needed, i.e., language accommodation for job postings
Maintain data integrity within the applicant tracking system
Develop key performance indicators across the People Acquisition team and hold team members accountable for reaching set metrics
Ensure a smooth and positive candidate experience
Conduct regular business partner meetings to provide regular updates on recruiting activity, best practices, and market data

Develop and maintain a network of contacts to easily identify and source qualified talent through a variety of channels, including internet and social networking sites, cold calling, referrals, job fairs, networking events, etc.

Recruit both passive and active candidates for entry-level, high-volume, hourly roles as well as salaried individual contributor and leadership roles as needed
Screen candidates regarding work history, skill level, and organizational fit, and make recommendations to the hiring teams
Manage interview scheduling and logistics
Manage offer process to include salary recommendations, offer letter generation, and offer acceptance/rejection; collaborate with business partners on all negotiations

What You'll Do:

Industry Expertise:

Apply your experience in the fulfillment, transportation, and logistics industry to attract and recruit candidates who align with CART's business objectives.

Leadership & Team

Management:
Lead, mentor, and develop a team of recruiters, ensuring they meet and exceed performance targets.

Full-Cycle Recruiting:
Oversee the full recruitment lifecycle, including sourcing, screening, interviewing, and onboarding of candidates for both management and hourly positions.

High-Volume Recruiting:

Manage high-volume recruiting efforts for full-time, part-time, seasonal roles in a fast-paced, dynamic fulfillment center environment, ensuring timely and efficient hiring to meet business needs.


Strategic Partnerships:
Collaborate closely with business partners and leadership to understand hiring needs and develop effective recruitment strategies.

Advanced Candidate Sourcing:
Utilize advanced internet searching, research, and cold calling techniques to identify and engage top talent.

Applicant Tracking System Expertise:
Leverage a leading applicant tracking system, preferably Workday, to manage the recruitment process and maintain accurate records.

Adaptability & Professionalism:
Demonstrate confidence and maintain professionalism when advising and working with business partners, especially in ambiguous or rapidly changing environments.

Qualifications:

Experience:

10+ years of professional recruitment experience, with a focus on high-volume recruiting in fast-paced, dynamic fulfillment, logistics, or transportation environments.


Management:
3+ years hiring and managing direct reports.

ATS Proficiency:
Extensive experience with a leading applicant tracking system, preferably Workday.
Industry

Experience:
Proven experience in the fulfillment, transportation, or logistics industry.

Technical Skills:
Expertise in advanced internet searching, candidate research, and cold calling.

Leadership:
Demonstrated ability to lead and manage a team of recruiters.

Communication:
Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with all levels of the organization.

Physical Demands & Working Conditions:

This is an onsite position with the ideal candidate located in any of our network locations in either Central or Eastern time zones.

Must have the ability/desire to travel on a periodic basis primarily to our headquarters in Houston, TX and to our site locations in TX, OH, UT, NJ, TN, PA.
