Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated researcher to join our team at The Johns Hopkins University Applied Physics Laboratory. As an AI Researcher, you will contribute to the development of novel AI methods for complex systems, working closely with our team of experts in climate science, earth systems, and materials science.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design, train, and develop machine learning algorithms for complex systems
  • Collect and prepare data for AI model evaluation
  • Evaluate and improve AI models for complex systems
  • Collaborate with domain experts to identify research opportunities
  • Develop and maintain software for AI model development and evaluation

Requirements:

  • PhD in a relevant field, such as AI, Mathematics, Statistics, Computer Science, or Engineering
  • Experience with AI/ML algorithms, data science, and software development
  • Proficiency in Python programming
  • Ability to obtain an Interim Secret security clearance
