Position Overview: As a vital member of our hospitality team, the Room Attendant plays a crucial role in ensuring the cleanliness and upkeep of designated guest rooms within the hotel. This position demands a keen eye for detail and a commitment to maintaining the highest standards of cleanliness and presentation.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Maintain assigned rooms to exceptional cleanliness standards, ensuring guest comfort and satisfaction.
  • Conduct daily inspections of all assigned rooms, including vacant maintenance (VM) and vacant ready (VR) rooms, promptly reporting any discrepancies to the Housekeeping Supervisor.
  • Perform rechecks of rooms at departure times and communicate room status to the Housekeeping Supervisor for efficient turnover.
  • Report maintenance needs to the Engineering department or Housekeeping Supervisor to facilitate timely repairs.
  • Enter guest rooms courteously, greeting guests with respect for their privacy.
  • Ensure all trash is collected and report any missing items to the Housekeeping Supervisor upon entering the guest room.
  • Change linens and make beds according to brand standards, creating a welcoming atmosphere for guests.
  • Thoroughly clean bathrooms, including all fixtures and surfaces, ensuring guest convenience with properly placed standard items.
  • Dust furniture, vacuum floors, clean inside drawers, and check under beds to maintain a tidy environment.
  • Restock housekeeping carts to ensure all necessary supplies are available for the next day’s service.
  • Return keys and housekeeping carts at the end of the shift, ensuring proper handover.
  • Report lost and found items in guest rooms to the Housekeeping Manager, adhering to hotel policies.
  • Prepare rollaway beds and coordinate with housekeeping aides for their removal and storage.
  • Uphold the highest level of guest hospitality and professionalism, reflecting the hotel’s commitment to exceptional service.
