Job Overview

The Floor Inspector is responsible for ensuring the cleanliness and overall appearance of guest rooms, corridors, and public areas. This role requires a high level of attention to detail and excellent guest service skills.

Key Responsibilities
  • Inspect guest rooms, corridors, and public areas to ensure cleanliness and quality standards are met
  • Report any equipment problems or issues to the Building Manager or Housekeeping Executive
  • Inspect bed and bathroom linens for cleanliness and condition, and pull any items not meeting Edgewater Housekeeping standards
  • Report unexpected vacant rooms and inspect all check-outs to ensure rooms are in good condition
  • Assist Housekeepers as needed and check closets for condition and cleanliness
  • Have knowledge of fire alarm/carbon monoxide alarm and evacuation procedures, and be MSDS trained and completed AWAIR program
  • Perform other duties as requested by the Housekeeping Executives or Building Manager to aid in better hotel operation and guest service
Requirements
  • Highly organized and able to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Must be able to work the majority of the shift in a standing position, constantly moving, and able to lift 30 pounds
  • Strong Guest Service Skills and attention to detail
  • Ability to communicate satisfactorily with guests, management, and co-workers
