General Information

Work Environment: This role will primarily be based at various event venues within the county.
Work Hours: Flexible hours including weekends, not exceeding 27 hours per week.

Position Overview:

As the Event Operations Coordinator, you will oversee a team of event staff, ensuring that all facilities, services, and equipment are adequately prepared for successful event execution.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Supervise event personnel before, during, and after events, ensuring smooth operations at designated venues.
2. Assign daily tasks to team members and monitor their progress, fostering a collaborative environment.
3. Ensure readiness of facilities, services, and equipment for events, determining necessary tasks and personnel.
4. Schedule and communicate with crew members regarding event requirements.
5. Oversee event setup, breakdown, and cleanup, ensuring adherence to quality and customer service standards.
6. Manage crew members effectively, addressing any issues that arise during events.
7. Assist with the setup and operation of portable technical equipment, including sound and lighting systems.
8. Prepare necessary reports and billing documentation.

Qualifications:

- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Minimum of two years of experience in a high-volume event facility, such as a convention center or theater.
- Experience in food and beverage and event operations is preferred.
- Valid driver's license required.

Skills and Abilities:

- Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
- Detail-oriented with a focus on accuracy.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, to interact professionally with various stakeholders.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
