Job Summary

Key Responsibilities:
  • Customer Service: Provide excellent customer service by being aware of and adhering to company service standards, creating a positive shopping experience for customers, and being willing to serve and assist customers.
  • Sales and Assistance: Promote company rewards programs and other business initiatives, maintain awareness of all current sales promotions, and assist customers with sales and product information.
  • Merchandise Presentation: Maintain awareness of all current sales promotions, ensure stock is well arranged and merchandised properly, and maintain cleanliness and organization of all areas within the store.
  • Product Knowledge: Develop and maintain necessary product knowledge and fitting skills, and maintain an awareness of Loss Prevention concerns involving customers and staff members.
  • Cash Handling: Process all sales and POS terminal transactions in accordance with policy and procedure, and maintain strict control of all monies and sales documentation.
Requirements:
  • Interpersonal Skills: Interpersonal skills necessary to deal effectively with external contacts (primarily customers) and with all levels of employees.
  • Communication Skills: Basic communication (both verbal and non-verbal), organization, and math skills.
  • Experience: Experience in retail sales, preferably specialty retail or footwear.
  • Knowledge: Basic knowledge of the policies and procedures, and basic visual merchandising skills and an understanding of the Store Presentation Standards.
