Job Summary

MasTec Industrial is seeking a skilled Pipefitter Assistant II to join our team. As a Pipefitter Assistant II, you will assist experienced pipefitters in the planning, installation, and testing of various construction-related systems and components.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist in the planning and layout of pipe systems, ensuring compliance with industry standards and regulations.
  • Help install, test, and repair various types of pipes and piping systems, including butt welded, socket welded, threaded, Victaulic, grooved, glued, and fused joints.
  • Use hand and power tools to fit and install pipes, and assist in the installation of valves, couplings, and other fittings.
  • Disassemble and remove damaged or worn pipes, and assist in the fabrication and installation of new pipes.
  • Perform daily safety checks to ensure equipment is in safe operating condition, and interact with installation crews to facilitate the movement of materials and equipment.
  • Work in a fast-paced environment, meeting production schedules and deadlines, and maintaining a high level of accuracy and quality in work.
  • Collaborate with project supervision to ensure projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the required quality standards.
Requirements
  • 1-2 years of experience in a related field, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • High School Diploma or GED Certification (preferred).
  • Basic knowledge of construction processes, including heavy industrial construction.
  • Ability to work at heights, and wear personal protective equipment as required.
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
