Qualifications and Experience:
- High school diploma or equivalent is mandatory.
- Experience in construction is advantageous; training will be provided on-site.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepares and cleans construction sites by eliminating debris and potential hazards.
- Utilizes a variety of hand and power tools effectively.
- Communicates with equipment operators to assist in the proper alignment and movement of machinery.
- Supports the setup, relocation, and dismantling of signs, barriers, cones, and other traffic management devices.
- Digs trenches and ditches using a shovel.
- Aids teams in the handling and transportation of materials.
- Directs traffic in and around work areas.
- Ensures compliance with safety protocols to maintain a secure work environment.
- Keeps the job site organized, ensuring waste is disposed of properly and tools are stored correctly.
- Follows instructions from the Foreman to accomplish daily objectives on-site.
Essential Skills and Knowledge:
- Ability to listen, understand, and execute instructions.
- Flexibility to adapt to changing job assignments.
- Capability to collaborate with diverse personalities.
- Basic arithmetic skills, including counting.
- Professional and courteous communication with colleagues and business partners.
Physical Demands:
- Must possess physical strength, balance, coordination, and endurance.
- Ability to lift objects weighing up to 50 pounds.
- Capable of standing and walking for extended periods, including climbing stairs while carrying materials weighing between 40 and 60 pounds.
- May require prolonged operation of power tools or machinery.
- Must be prepared to work in various weather conditions.
