Optimal CAE is seeking an Automotive Systems Engineering Specialist to join our team. As an Embedded Software Engineer, you will play a key role in accelerating the use of automation in simulation and software development processes.
About the RoleThe successful candidate will be responsible for developing desktop and cloud solutions to increase speed and robustness of the embedded control software build, simulation, and test pipeline. This will involve collaborating with various Ford software, controls, and simulation teams to understand their workflow and identify areas for improvement.
Responsibilities- Lead a team to develop software and scripts to automate the build environment, simulation environment, and to verify and validate the embedded vehicle control software.
- Create web-based tools and standard dashboards to share simulation and software build and test status information with development teams.
- Collaborate with the Ford IT, Software, and Data teams to research and roll out process, methods, and tools associated with software simulation, build, and test initiatives.
- Masters degree in engineering or computer science.
- 3+ years experience with Matlab/Simulink/Stateflow, including academic experience.
- 3+ years programming background in languages such as Python, C, C++, Java, or Matlab m-script.
- 3+ years experience with version control and automation tools such as ClearCase, AccuRev, GitHub, and Jenkins.
- 1+ years experience with cloud-based tools such as Docker and Kubernetes.
