Job Description:

We are seeking a skilled Global Automotive Lighting Specialist to join our team. As a Global Automotive Lighting Specialist, you will be responsible for leading the development of exterior lighting systems for our vehicles. This role involves collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure that our products meet the highest standards of quality, safety, and performance.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Leverage technical expertise to develop and implement innovative lighting solutions that meet or exceed customer requirements.
  2. Collaborate with engineering, design, and manufacturing teams to ensure that lighting systems are designed, developed, and produced to meet the highest standards of quality, safety, and performance.
  3. Analyze design requirements and specifications to ensure that lighting systems meet regulatory requirements and industry standards.
  4. Develop and maintain comprehensive knowledge of lighting technologies, including LED, HID, and halogen lighting systems.
  5. Identify opportunities to improve product performance, reduce costs, and enhance customer satisfaction.
  6. Provide technical guidance and support to engineers, designers, and other stakeholders to ensure that lighting systems are properly integrated into vehicle designs.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
  • 10+ years of experience in automotive lighting engineering, including 6+ years of experience in exterior automotive lighting engineering.
  • Demonstrated expertise in body exterior lighting attributes and methods, including material properties, design attributes for durability/NVH, corrosion mitigation, optics, control plan management, tooling, and testing methods.
  • Working knowledge of applicable Design, Analysis, Verification, Quality, Manufacturing, and Assembly methods.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Demonstrated track record of strong leadership behaviors.
  • Ability to work effectively with little oversight.
