Position Overview:

As a Cyber Claims Attorney, you will play a pivotal role within our vibrant and fast-paced team. This position offers a unique chance to engage with the cutting-edge of the cyber insurance sector, providing expert legal counsel on a diverse array of intricate and high-stakes cyber claims. You will manage a varied portfolio of claims, encompassing data breaches, network security incidents, and cyber-attacks, and will be instrumental in shaping our organization's response to the continuously evolving landscape of cyber threats.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Oversee all facets of cyber claim litigation, including the assessment, analysis, and resolution of complex claims.
  • Work collaboratively with our claims team to evaluate liability, damages, and coverage matters.
  • Formulate and execute strategic plans for the resolution of cyber claims.
  • Provide specialized legal guidance to our claims team, underwriters, and other relevant parties on intricate cyber-related legal challenges.
  • Negotiate settlements with claimants and their legal representatives.
  • Engage with external legal counsel and manage their performance to ensure effective claims resolution.
  • Stay informed on developments in cyber law and insurance regulations, offering training to our claims team and other stakeholders.
  • Contribute to the formulation of our cyber claims handling policies and procedures.


Qualifications:
  • Juris Doctor degree from an accredited law institution and bar admission.
  • A minimum of 3 years of experience as a Claims Attorney, specifically in cyber claims management.
  • Demonstrated experience in insurance claims, litigated claims, liability assessment, and claims resolution.
  • Comprehensive understanding of the legal, technical, and regulatory aspects related to cyber risk.
  • Exceptional negotiation, communication, and interpersonal abilities.
  • Capacity to manage multiple complex claims concurrently and perform effectively under pressure.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
  • Dedication to upholding the highest ethical and professional standards.
  • Enthusiasm for technology and a strong interest in the cyber insurance field.
