Position Overview:

As a Cyber Claims Attorney, you will play a pivotal role in our dynamic and fast-paced environment. This position provides a unique opportunity to engage with the forefront of the cyber insurance sector, offering expert legal guidance on a diverse array of intricate and high-stakes cyber claims. You will manage a varied portfolio of claims, including data breaches, network security incidents, and cyber-attacks, significantly influencing our organization's approach to the constantly evolving cyber threat landscape. This role allows you to utilize your legal acumen and enthusiasm for technology to create a meaningful impact within our organization and the broader cyber insurance field.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Oversee all facets of cyber claim litigation, including the assessment, analysis, and resolution of complex claims.
  • Work closely with our claims team to evaluate liability, damages, and coverage matters.
  • Formulate and execute strategic plans for the resolution of cyber claims.
  • Provide specialized legal counsel to our claims team, underwriters, and other relevant parties on intricate cyber-related legal matters.
  • Negotiate settlements with claimants and their legal representatives.
  • Collaborate with external legal counsel and oversee their performance to ensure effective claims resolution.
  • Stay informed on developments in cyber law and insurance regulations, providing training to our claims team and other stakeholders.
  • Contribute to the formulation of our cyber claims handling policies and procedures.


Qualifications:
  • Juris Doctor degree from an accredited law institution and admission to the bar.
  • A minimum of 3 years of experience as a Claims Attorney, with a focus on cyber claims.
  • Demonstrated experience in insurance claims, litigated claims, liability assessment, and claims resolution.
  • Comprehensive understanding of the legal, technical, and regulatory aspects related to cyber risk.
  • Excellent negotiation, communication, and interpersonal abilities.
  • Capacity to manage multiple complex claims concurrently and perform effectively under pressure.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
  • Commitment to upholding the highest ethical and professional standards.
  • Genuine interest in technology and the cyber insurance sector.
