Job Overview

Barker and Sons Plumbing is seeking a skilled Plumbing Service Technician to join our team. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for diagnosing and repairing residential plumbing systems, providing exceptional customer service, and ensuring compliance with regulatory codes.

Responsibilities
  • Diagnose and repair residential plumbing systems, including water and gas supply lines, heating systems, and related fixtures and appliances.
  • Develop and implement effective solutions for customers, ensuring their needs are met and their expectations are exceeded.
  • Design and inspect plumbing systems, conduct diagnostics, and ensure compliance with regulatory codes.
  • Install, maintain, and repair sanitation units, water and gas supply lines, heating systems, and related fixtures and appliances in residential properties.
  • Troubleshoot and effectively resolve issues promptly, providing consistent 5-star customer experiences.
  • Utilize technology, including iPads and established workflows, to ensure consistent support and efficient operations.
  • Maintain a professional appearance and demeanor, ensuring a positive experience for customers and colleagues alike.
  • Take full accountability and pride in the upkeep and readiness of your truck, tools, and any parts and equipment assigned to you.
  • Strictly account for parts used, return what is not used, and reconcile inventory with the Warehouse.
Qualifications
  • Proficiency in handling and resolving service calls specific to residential plumbing.
  • Ability to commit to following the Barker and Sons proven process for service and sales.
  • Strong communication skills, with the ability to establish rapport and close sales with a diverse clientele.
  • Comfortable working both independently and as part of a team.
  • Able to maintain professional appearance standards and approachable demeanor.
  • Able to use and/or learn new technologies, including iPads and software systems, to facilitate operations.
  • Self-motivated, responsible, and humbly confident.
  • Hold a valid California driver's license with a clean driving record.
  • Able to pass a background check for Home Services.
